Within your OrderMore account you’re able to specify multiple locations (stores). A location has its own tax structure, menus, layouts, reporting etc. Within a location you can specify layouts. Layouts can be used to describe or detail certain areas within your restaurant. You can also specifically report on things like guest count and revenue per layout.
Setting up your Layouts
Multiple layouts can be created and a layout can be selected for each OrderMore POS app. Multiple OrderMore POS apps can also use the same layout. If you have a large restaurant or multiple rooms you can create a layout for each area.
You can start editing your location’s default layout by pressing layout within the location box on the OrderMore dashboard. This will start the Layout Editor:
Here you can add tables. A table is used to store orders for guests. Whenever guests arrive, you open a table by tapping on that table in the OrderMore POS app, after which you can start taking orders. In the layout editor you can add as many tables as you need. A table can have different dimensions and will use a default capacity. This capacity defines the number of people that can sit at this table by default. If there are specific objects (plants, walls, etc) you can add those by selecting add decoration. This will make it easier to create a layout that resembles your restaurant as closely as possible.
Tip: OrderMore can run in both restaurant and cash register mode.
Besides tables you can also add cash registers. A cash register works differently than a table; when you press a Cash Register outlet in the OrderMore POS app it will not open a table but instead go into a continuous order mode. This is, for example, very helpful with bars or other over the counter setups.
Managing your Layouts
Layouts can managed from the option menu located in the upper right side of the layout editor. Here you can rename your layout, manage snapshots of your layout, delete your layout, add a new layout or get a list view of all your tables. It’s always helpful to use meaningful names for your layouts. It makes it easier to select the right layout within the OrderMore POS app and to find the right revenue base when reporting for a specific layout. Although layouts can be deleted, the system will always keep a reference to the original layout for previous transactions.
When you're finished with your layouts, you can push them to all the OrderMore POS apps in the location by clicking the push changes button.
