When you’re logged into the OrderMore POS app you’ll find your default layout as your startup screen, if you don’t have any employees / users set up. If you have users set up, you’ll be greeted by the lock screen; select an employee and put in their pin number (you can always find your pin in the OrderMore Portal: click on your name in the upper right corner and select Your Profile).
If you’ve enabled time registration and you haven’t clocked in yet, the OrderMore POS app will ask you to do so.
Placing an order
When guests arrive you can open up the table that they’re seated at. Tap the table and enter the number of guests at the table. The app will then show the order screen:
In the example above, the customer ordered one coffee, and one tea. Ordering is done by tapping on the product buttons. By short tapping on the order line (for example the 1 tea), you’ll be given the option to change the quantity or add an instruction (for example for the bar or kitchen). The instructions will appear on the order docket in the bar or kitchen, based on the printing route for that specific product. A long tap (i.e. keeping your finger on the screen for a few moments) on the product button will increase the order quantity.
You can also specify during which course a certain order should be served by selecting the course in the upper right side of the ordering screen. This will show the order on the kitchen instruction with a course notifier - enabling the kitchen to prepare the order for a specific course.
By performing a long tap on an order line, the following menu will pop up:
The Edit Order will bring you back to the screen in which you can change the quantity and add instructions. By tapping On the House the item will have a cost of $ 0.00 and the OrderMore POS app will separately mark the order so it will reflect as being On the House in the reports. You can remove your order line item by tapping Remove Order.
Tip: Order cancellation and the On the House marking of an order will only show if the role of the current user allows it.
When you’re finished with entering the orders you tap Confirm Order. The entries on the left side of the screen will turn black in stead of blue, indicating that they’ve been pushed through. At that time, the OrderMore POS app will send out the order to the printers and push out all order information onto its network.
If you want to change or repeat a previous order, you can tap the order line for that order:
If you tap Add Order, one of the same item will be added as a new order. Repeat order works a bit differently; it will exactly repeat the previous order, including quantity and any instructions that were added to the order that’s being repeated.
Now if you want to cancel that previously confirmed order, you tap Cancel Order. This will pop up the Order Cancellations dialog:
Here you can tap which orders you want to cancel, optionally specifying a reason for the cancellation. Cancellations are marked by the OrderMore platform and will be reported separately to prevent misuse.
Moving orders between tables
When people had a drink at the bar and now want to move to a table, you can transfer their orders to a new table. In the main table overview, long tap on a table. The following dialog will pop up:
Here you can either select to split orders, which effectively means that you move orders over to another table, or move guests over to another table. When you select Split orders the source table will start pulsating. You then select a target table. The following screen will appear:
By tapping the order lines, they will move back and forth between the two different tables. When you're finished with moving the orders around, select save to confirm the changes.
Tip: If you move guests over to an existing table the app will suggest to merge the guests onto the target table.
